http://www.singouteileen.com/index.html contacted me after being at my house for a Women's Sabbath Day Experience. She wanted to created a sacred prayer space in her home, but could not see where or how that could be done.
Eileen's home office, where she teaches voice, had a natural division, where the house had had an addition. We divided the room into two parts, divided by a see-through curtain. We opened the futon, and made a bed of pillows. (Eileen created pillow covers with complementary colors and designs). She chose symbols for the altar table, and removed an old rocker that was taking up too much space. Total budget was $250. Here is what she says:

She combined this with wisdom about creating sacred spaces and wonderful decorating flare to come up with ideas I at first thought were a little wild. Having learned to trust her, I put myself in her hands and together we created a beautiful retreat space within my home office in which I pray, read, and find sanctuary. It delights me and gives my soul a beautiful place to rejuvenate. Visitors are always impressed and just love the new space.”
